EXPERIENCE:
Television Producer
January 2006 to November 2006
Produced, edited, directed, ran audio, and camera for the television shows Word.ca and The Greg “Who?” Show, both broadcasted on CTS. Was responsible for studio set-up, and all technical aspects of both shows. Was editor, working with Adobe Premier Pro to edit and package programs. Responsible for planning and executing all aspects of the shows, often shooting on location. Word.ca is a current events talk-show, with many episodes shot in location (press conferences, speeches, rallies, etc.). The Greg “Who?” Show was a half-hour Letterman/Leno type show with musical guests, interviews and demonstrations, location-shot comedy bits, etc. Also produced commercial spots and other clips for both shows. Responsible for maintaining Word.ca's website and creating graphics both for use on the show, and for posters and magazine ads. Created music for use in spots and as beds. Worked with the following programs: Adobe Premier Pro, Nuendo (for audio), Wavelab, Dreamweaver (for website maintenance), Adobe Photoshop 7 (for graphics). Worked with a variety of audio consoles, both analogue and digital.
Professor, Canada Christian College
September 2004 to present
Teaching the Audio Recording, Live Sound and Television Production courses, part of the college's Bachelor Of Sacred Music Diploma Program. Duties include teaching and training students in the use of recording software, and audio gear; creating lesson plans, tests, exams and assignments; grading students. Also conducted seminars, most recently conducting the Live Sound Seminars at the Toronto Music Expo. Taught at both College level, and a High School course in Media Studies for Canada Christian High School .
Manager, Sound Evidence Recording Studio
September 2004 to present
Managing the professional recording studio at Canada Christian College . Duties include booking sessions, budgeting, promotion, managing sessions, maintaining equipment, producing and engineering recording sessions for everything from voice over work to sessions for several types of music including rock and opera. Also contracted for a number of audio editing jobs, including assembly of radio shows. Using the following software: Nuendo, Cubase SX (and other versions of Cubase), WaveLab, and Sony Sound Forge among others.
Independent Live Sound Engineer
1990 to present
Worked as a Freelance Sound Engineer full-time, in a variety of situations, including live sound mixing, monitor mixing, recording and broadcast audio, and stage lighting and follow-spot operation. Was also contracted for permanent installations of P.A. systems in clubs, restaurants, churches and schools, being responsible for planning, budgeting, installing, hiring crewmembers, and all other aspects of installations. Conducted training seminars covering all aspects of installation and operation of sound systems. Mixed in a variety of venues including parks, concert halls, churches, outdoor festivals, clubs, and prisons. Toured across Canada , the United States and Europe . Responsible for set-up, operation and maintenance of P.A. equipment, and for the purchase of new equipment on behalf of my clients. Operated a variety of consoles, outboard gear and sound reinforcement equipment, and handled multi-media events. Supervised local crews, and was responsible for hiring personnel when needed. Recently began CD duplication business.

Sales of audio equipment. Responsible for customer service, ordering stock, departmental planning, and training in the use of various types of equipment. Specialized in the P.A. and Recording Departments, selling microphones, consoles, amplifiers, speakers, DJ equipment, outboard gear, etc. Also responsible for outside installations.
Warren & Shannan Parker Trio
July 1998 to January 2001
Was a musician and technical director for one of Canada 's favourite Gospel Music groups. Toured throughout Canada and the United States , playing about 220 dates a year, usually mixing and playing at the same time. Was responsible for set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment, and the purchase of new equipment. The group was voted Favourite Vocal Group by the Canadian Gospel Music Association, as well as musically "backed up" the Favourite Instrumentalist award winner three years in a row. Other duties included design and maintenance of the website ( www.parkertrio.com ), composing and editing newsletters, press releases and other promotional material, bookings and CD sales after concerts.
Bayview Glen Alliance Church
May 1996 to June 1997
Was the head of the Audio-Visual Department of one of the largest churches in Canada . Was responsible for the departments' budget, training and scheduling personnel, operation and maintenance of equipment, and for the purchase of new equipment. Was responsible for all technical aspects of church services, concerts and seminars.
Jubilance Singers and Orchestra
January 1995 to April 1995, January 1996 to May 1996
Toured Europe for a total of nine months as a musician and Assistant Technical Director. Trained the sound engineer, and worked closely with him supervising and training the crew for the set-up of the P.A. Often addressed the audience during concerts.
Nite Lite & Revival Hour Television Broadcasts
1986 to 1987
Worked as a crewmember on these broadcasts. Trained for and worked in several positions including; Floor Director, camera operator, VTR operator, vision switcher, production assistant, camera balance operator and on-air co-host. Worked with both live broadcasts and taped segments.

One-year course. Graduated at top of my class, studying Recording Engineering, and all aspects of audio engineering including audio theory; design, maintenance and operation of mixing consoles, multi-track tape machines, microphones and other audio gear, digital audio, miking techniques, editing, sampling and MIDI.

PERSONAL LIFE
I have been married since 2001 to a wonderful lady. We enjoy travel, biking, exploring our city, design, movies, concerts, reading (subjects that interest us include history, psychology, biographies, theology, religion). We live in downtown Toronto .
